- Chris Hegele, Chairman:
Chris Hegele is a partner at Intersouth Partners. He is a long standing member of the Southeast's venture capital community, having spent nearly 20 years as a general partner with Kitty Hawk Capital, a venture capital firm located in Charlotte, North Carolina. Prior to joining Kitty Hawk in 1984, Chris was with Arthur Andersen & Co. in its Small Business Group. Chris holds a B.S. in Economics from University of North Carolina at Wilmington and a M.B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
- Arthur C. Wotiz, Director:
Art Wotiz has an extensive background as a senior executive in the medical device and specialty chemical industry. He is currently CEO of NovaBone Products, LLC, a firm marketing bone regeneration products to surgeons globally. Previously he was President of Harris Specialty Chemicals, Inc. during its formation and leading it from ground zero to 15 manufacturing sites and 1,100 employees. Prior to that he was President/CEO of PCR Group, a specialty chemicals company created by a leveraged buy-out from SCM Corp. Prior to SCM he held management positions at SCM Corp. and General Electric. He has a BS in Biology from University of Kentucky and an MBA from Washington University.
- Ban Hudson, Director:
Ban Hudson until recently was CEO of Beverages & More, a west coast specialty retailer that Ban took from near-failure to strong financial success and a very successful exit for investors. Prior to that he was CEO of US Shoe Corp, a Fortune-500 company; CEO of LensCrafters, which he built into the market leader in US optical products; and he held several management positions in manufacturing, marketing and general management for Procter & Gamble. He also serves as Chairman of the Yellowstone Park Foundation and Chairman of the Board for Ruth's Chris Steakhouses.
- David Pierson, Director:
David Pierson is a partner at Intersouth Partners and has 12 years of pharmaceutical industry experience. David was previously VP of Sales & Marketing for NPS Pharmaceuticals, where he built and launched the company's first specialty field sales organization. Prior to NPS, he was director of global marketing for Pharmacia Corporation's oncology franchise. He began his pharmaceutical career at Johnson Johnson, advancing through a variety of sales, marketing management, and business development roles. He is a West Point graduate.
- Will Brooke, Director:
Mr. Brooke is Executive Vice President of Harbert Management Corporation and Managing Partner of Harbert Venture Partners. He is also a Partner of the Harbinger/Aurora Venture Funds and serves on their Investment Committee and Members' Advisory Committee. He has been advising start-up companies for more than twenty years, and has also served on numerous other Boards of venture funded businesses and industry organizations. He holds a degree in law (J.D.) and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from the University of Alabama, where he currently is a member of the President's Cabinet.
- Henry Linsert Jr., Director:
Henry "Pete" Linsert is founder and CEO of Columbia Biosciences Corporation, a biopharmaceutical company. Prior to Columbia, Mr. Linsert was Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Martek Biosciences, where he took the small private R&D company to a profitable public company with a market capitalization of over $1 Billion. Prior to Martek, he was in the venture capital business as President of American Technology Investments Corp., and President/CEO of Suburban Capital Corporation. He was also one of the three 2009 inductees in the Space Technology Hall of Fame.

- Robert Crutchfield, Board Observer:
Robert Crutchfield joined Harbert Management Corp. in 2008 with more than 20 years of experience in the health care industry with both startup and large, international corporations. Robert has held sales, management and corporate leadership roles with numerous companies and has launched 5 successful new business ventures during his private and corporate career and has lead four merger and acquisition transactions.
